SRA Engineers seeks to fill the following positions:

Assistant Structural Engineer (Updated February 21, 2024).  We are currently seeking a full-time in-person position for an entry level structural engineer to assist in the design of building projects. Typical project types include commercial, educational, residential, and industrial facilities. We provide full-scope services from conceptual design through the construction phases of our projects with close interaction with the project architects, owners and all members of the design team. SRA Engineers has been providing civil and structural engineering services to our clients in the New York and New England area for over 30 years. We are registered to practice structural engineering in all of the Northeast states. We strive to provide practical, cost-efficient solutions to engineering problems, delivered on schedule. Our efforts are dedicated to client satisfaction with the goal of developing long-term client relationships. The majority of our work is from past clients or direct referrals by them.  Duties for the position generally include:

The position requires a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, 0 to 5 years job experience with structural engineering projects, E.I. certification or the ability to obtain P.E. licensure, the ability to use structural design/analysis software (eg: STAAD, RAMSTEEL, Revit® and/or AutoCAD® or similar) is preferred but not required, effective communication skills and writing skills, and the ability to work independently and effectively as a part of a project team.

The expected salary range for this position is $57,000 to $65,000, not including possible signing bonus and annual profit sharing.

CAD Drafter (Updated February 21, 2024).  We have an immediate full-time in-person position available for a CAD Drafter to assist in the design of building and industrial projects. Duties for the position generally include:

The position requires at least 2 years of direct CAD job experience or Certification in Computer Aided Drafting from an accredited institution.  Qualifications include a strong working knowledge of Revit® software, preferably Revit® Structure, and experience in the use of AutoCAD® drafting software.  An Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology and/or attendance at Revit® and AutoCAD® training seminars preferred and not required.

The expected compensation for this position is $21.00 to $28.00 per hour not including possible signing bonus and annual profit sharing.
